Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to delete your Datajar account and the data associated with it, including data Datajar received from Meta (Facebook) on your behalf.

1. Delete your account in Datajar

1. Sign in at https://datajar.co.
2. Open Settings, then Account.
3. Under Your data, choose Delete account and confirm.

This deletes your account, your connected data sources, your conversations, your saved reports, and all competitor data you asked us to track, including Facebook Page posts and Meta Ad Library ads.

2. Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, email ali.mahmoud@datajar.co from the email address on your account, with the subject "Data deletion request". We confirm the request within 3 business days.

3. Remove Datajar from your Facebook account

If you connected a Facebook or Meta Ads account to Datajar, you can also remove Datajar's access from Facebook:

1. Open Facebook Settings & privacy, then Settings.
2. Go to Apps and Websites (under Security, or Business integrations for business accounts).
3. Find Datajar, choose Remove, and confirm.

Removing access stops Datajar from reading new data. To delete data Datajar already holds, also follow step 1 or 2.

4. What we delete and when

• We delete your data from our live systems within 30 days of your request.
• Backups are overwritten within a further 30 days.
• We may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as invoices for tax purposes.

Publicly available Facebook Page and ad data that we read for competitor tracking is deleted after 90 days even without a request.
